Last year's party was such a hit, we're going back for more, so pack your swimmers, towel, sunscreen, hat, and enjoy a day in the pool at Nerang Aquatic Centre. We will also have exclusive access to a massive inflatable pool toy between noon and 2pm. The pool is shaded and there is plenty of shady seating for Mums, Dads and grandparents, plus there is a canteen on site.

Swim Fit Nerang, and in particular their inflatable obstacle course, proved a big hit with all the kids, whether they be toddlers, or the 50-plus variety of "kids" (Yes, the other Dads and I couldn't help ourselves). Old friends re-united, and we welcomed new members the Parsons family, and the Dodson family. Being "sun-smart" was too easy this year, as the tranlucent aircraft-hanger-style cover, kept us well shaded while letting in the right amount of light for some outdoor fun.
Tees and Tiaras Charity Golf Day
On Thursday 1st November, Drummond Golf Underwood held their annual Tees and Tiaras Charity Golf Day, and kindly donated moneys raised to Limbkids Support Association. On behalf of Limbkids' I'd like to thank Naomi McIntosh, the team from DGU, and of course all the ladies that turned up in numbers to generously support the cause.
The day was a 4 person Ambrose event with lots on course fun, heaps of prizes and I was moved by the kind comments, and the way the ladies dug deep to support us.
I was honoured to give a brief 10 minute talk about Limbkids to the golfers, all of whom listened politely, before handing over to world renowned inspirational speaker, John Coutis, who really got the crowd revved-up, with his incredible personal story over lunch. I was glad to go first, as John is a hard act to follow. John has done much for Limbkids over the years, and is the first associate to be ratified as Ambassador to our cause.

Limbkids Christmas Party 2011
Members and friends gathered on December 11th to celebrate at Gecko's Family Fun Centre in Browns Plains. John (Gecko's owner) and his team looked after us so well, and reserved their "Ancient World" party room for us, a prehistoric wonderland themed room, adorned with dinosaurs, UV and Laser party lights, and other seriously cool stuff.

The children had so much to do that the never stopped all day, with a three storey play structure with a giant slide, laser tag, and mini golf.

We injoyed a lunch in the function room, met three new member families, and after more play the Mums and Dads relaxed with a coffee in the cafe. 
We had the pleasure of a surprise visit from the McCormack family who despite 22 hours on the road, dropped by on their way to Jesse's birthday party (Happy Birthday Jesse!).
